Your gonna get the usual establishments that close at the usual hours, but on the whole if you wanna eat or drink you can find something. It's more a question of how desperate you are. 1. Nam Kee - Chinese, really cheap and cheerful. More like a fast service noodle bar. Alcohol and non alike, catered for.

2. The Greenhouse Effect - Bar & coffesshop nextdoor.

3. Barney's Breakfast Bar - Haarlemerstraat, for that Irish breakfast, pancakes or omelet. serves alcohol and lets you have a smoke to boot. Average price.

4. The Bar Belgique - A small bar off Niewendijk. Varied selection of beers from Trappist to Mc Chouff.

5. Vooges - Utrechtstraat 51, Small, popular bar with comfy seats and does food, nice staff.

6. The HardRock cafe - Thursday's are cocktail nights. Definitely recommend you visit, and I do know about my cocktails. If you catch the right times on Thursday, it's Happy Hour accompanied by live DJing from Has.
